En aquest article, l'autor pretén revisar la divulgació científica a l'Alguer, a l'illa de
Sardenya, en els darrers dos segles en llengua catalana. Malgrat l'escassa producció en
aquesta matèria, en el present treball s'analitza la revista La Sardenya Catalana,
de 1908, una primera experiència periodística en llengua catalana en què figuraven certs
objectius de divulgació científica. L'article també aprofundeix en treballs posteriors de
divulgació científica algueresa contemporània, especialment centrada en diferents aspectes
de botànica i ornitologia. Aquests resultats formen part del projecte de recerca
«La periodística científica als Països Catalans», de la Secció de Filosofia i Ciències Socials
de l'Institut d'Estudis Catalans.In this article, the author revises the scientific popularisation in Catalan language in
Alghero (a city in the island of Sardinia), in the last two centuries. In spite of the scarce
production on this subject, it looks over the magazine La Sardenya Catalana (1908), a
first press experience in Catalan language where certain goals of scientific popularisation
appeared. The paper also penetrates in later assignments of scientific popularisation contemporary
in Alghero, specially focuses on different aspects of botany and ornithology.
