En aquest article s'examina la figura del profeta en la pintura romànica catalana,
mural i sobre taula, la seva iconografia i els contextos en què apareix, principalment
quan celebra i proclama l'acompliment de les profecies bíbliques i, també, en els
cas més excepcional en què implora la gràcia de Déu o quan apareix plasmat en
una síntesi de les visions d'Isaïes i Exequiel.This paper deals with the figure of the prophet in the Catalan Romanesque mural
and wood painting, its iconography and context, mainly when the prophet sings and
proclaims the acomplishment of the prophecies and, more exceptionalley, when he
acts as intercessor or when he appears in the synthesis of the visions of Isaiah and
Ezequiel
