Abstract
Since the Paleozoic era, the constitution of European paleoflora follows succession dictated by evolution. After the stabilisation of environmental conditions, the flora is dominated by termophilous species which by the middle miocene period start to get replaced by mezophilous species and grasslands. In the Quarternary era numerous glaciations destroy the floral diversity. After the glaciations, today's floral distribution starts to form whose primal form is modified by anthropogenic influence
