Since the CTscan is performed where the belly is lying in acurved position, a mapping of the internalstructures at the position of the cuttingprocess is performed.Mapping between theoriginal CT scan and thegeometry presented to theoperator through HMI isachieved with help frombiomechanical modeling.Digital Volume Correlation (DVC) is used inorder to get the deformation field (mapping)between the belly geometry in the curved andflat state. This is used for adjustment andverification of the numerical finite elementsimulations. The two figures above showinitial results in terms of mapping of a 2Dcross-section of a belly including thecontours indicating the Hounsfield scale,which is used to distinguish the different softtissue constituents.The ACMP project is running from November2017 to October 2021Total project expenditure: 32 mio. Therobot learns to adapt to the biologicaldiversity from detailed measurements of theinput and the process, as well as feedbackfrom the operator.The collaboration between operator and robotis based on the development of a Human-Robot-Interface (HRI), which allows the robotto share its intentions, augment theoperator's perception, by relaying processedinformation extracted from an array ofsensors, and enables the operator to guideand instruct the robot.The connection between the operator and themachine is based on a Human MachineInterface (HMI), which in this case worksthrough augmented reality. The robot grips bellyproducts from an intermediate storage andpresent each one to the operator. Trimmingrecipes for the specific products arevisualized using HMI. The HMI works in thiscase via augmented reality, where theoperator is wearing a set of HoloLensglasses.The augmented reality information of the fatlayer thickness is shown to the operator as acolored fat contour in the HMI display and willguide the operator in where the belly shouldbe trimmed. In a previous experiment a yieldimprovement in the order of 7-10% wasdemonstrated.Feedback from the cutting process isachieved via a digital cutting knife, sharingthe information of spatial position andthickness of the removed fat layer.*mrso@mek.dtu.dk
