Developing Application for Processing Geographical Coordinate Systems

Abstract

In these days, with rise of Global Position System (GPS) and Geographical Informatics Software (GIS) lot of people are in need of conversion between geographical coordinate systems. The main goal of this work is devel- oping computer application for conversion between geographical coordinate systems using C# programing language and Microsoft Visual Studio environment. First part of this work includes insight into history, basic geog- raphy and descriptions of several geographical coordinate systems. The work describes process of development, creating algorithms based on mathematical calculations. Furthermore, the explanation of decisions about user interface layout and appearance are given. In conjunction with interface, testing process is defined and finished application is applied to the real users. Successively feedback from testing is noticed and implemented back to the programme. User expectations were fulfilled
