A polielektrolit/tenzid elegyek tulajdonságainak szabályozása környezetbarát adalékok segítségével = The manipulation of the properties of polyelectrolyte/surfactant mixtures with environmentally friendly additives

Abstract

A kutatási program eredeti céljának megfelelően sikerült egy olyan tudásbázist megteremteni, mely felhasználható az ellentétes töltésű makromolekulák és tenzidek egyensúlyi és nem-egyensúlyi asszociációjának szabályozására nem-ionos adalékok segítségével. A vizsgálatokban külön hangsúlyt kaptak a környezetbarát polimerek és tenzidek. Megmutattuk, hogy a polielektrolit/ionos tenzid nanorészecskék aggregációjának sebességét mind növelni, mind pedig csökkenteni is lehet nem-ionos polimer jelenlétében. Igazoltuk, hogy egy adott polimeradalék hatása nem univerzális, hanem nagymértékben függhet a polielektrolit/ionos tenzid asszociátumok szerkezetétől, valamint az elegykészítés módjától és az ionerősségtől is. A pályázati munka második részében -az irodalomban elsőként- sikerült egységesen értelmezni a nem-ionos tenzidadalék hatását az ellentétes töltésű polielektrolit/ionos tenzid rendszerekre, mind a híg, mind pedig a tömény tenzidoldat tartományában. Megállapítottuk, hogy -szemben a neutrális polimerekkel- a vizsgált nem-ionos tenzidadalékok hatása univerzálisnak mondható. A kutatási eredmények alapján, a hidrofób oldalláncokat és/vagy blokkokat is tartalmazó, új típusú szénhidrát alapú kopolimerek, valamint a nagyméretű, glükóz egységekből álló hidrofil fejet tartalmazó tenzidek ígéretes környezetbarát komponensek lehetnek egyes jövőbeni háztartási és kozmetikai alkalmazásokban. | In accordance with the original research plan, we have succeeded to create a knowledge base, which can be used to manipulate the equilibrium and nonequilibrium association of oppositely charged macromolecules and surfactants with nonionic additives. A special emphasis of the investigations was on the environmentally friendly nonionic polymers and amphiphiles. It was shown that the aggregation of polyion/ionic surfactant nanoparticles can be either reduced or enhanced in the presence of nonionic polymers. It was also revealed that the impact of a given uncharged polymer is not universal but crucially depends on the structure of the polyion/ionic surfactant nanoassemblies as well as on the solution preparation method and ionic strength. In the second part of the project, we have succeeded -for the first time in the literature- to interpret consistently the effect of nonionic surfactant additives on the oppositely charged polyelectrolyte/ionic surfactant systems, both in the dilute and concentrated surfactant solution range. It was also demonstrated that contrary to the uncharged polymers, the impact of nonionic surfactant additives is universal. On the basis of our research, novel uncharged and hydrophobically modified carbohydrate based copolymers or nonionic surfactants with large sugar surfactant headgroups might be promising environmentally friendly additives in next generation home and personal care applications
