For more than 10 years the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland has educated specialists in the field of librarianship, documentation, and information. Firstly, this paper reviews the degree program 'Information Business' which is phasing out. Some showcases of careers of alumni are provided. Following that, the changes in the curriculum of the new bachelor course of the same title and the additionally established graduate program 'Applied Knowledge Management', both starting in winter semester 2005/06, are described. Finally, an outlook and further plans concerning the study programs are presented
