The objective of this research is to know the effect of toolpath variation on the manufacture of sunglasses for machining of CNC milling router 3 axis on wood material, to the surface roughness produced in unit (Ra) where the result is good. This research uses mahogany wood and using CNC machine milling 3 axis router with mach 3 control, machining process done with toolpath variation, and surface roughness testing using Roughness Tester Type TR200 with ISO standard. The results showed that the direction of the chisel in the direction of wood fiber and the longer chisel path in the machining process of the 3 axis CNC router on the wooden specimen yielded a low roughness number, whereas the direction of the tool against wood fibers and short chisel trajectories yielded high roughness values, the surface of the machining process of CNC Milling Router 3 Axis with wood material produces roughness levels between N8 and N9
