Low back pain (LBP) or low back pain is a common case of pain in clinical practice
of physiotherapists. There are many types of classification in LBP, one of which is
LBP miogenik. LBP miogenik has signs and symptoms, among others, is the
discovery of muscle pain known as myogenic pain. Pain is characterized by
tenderness and muscle spasms (muscle spasm) in the lower back area, causing
limitation of movement in the body. One of the common modalities of physiotherapy
intervention in LBP case patients is SWD (Short Wave Diathermy). The purpose of
this research is to know the effect of myofascial release in the intervention of Short
Wave Diathermy (SWD) on functional ability of LBP Miogenik patient. Methods in
this research is quasi experimental research or quasi experimental research. The
number of samples in this study were 20 respondents. Results From the study Based
2
on the results of independent samples t-test for the comparability value of Oswestry
disability index (ODI) after treatment in the treatment group and control group
note that the p value in the treatment group is 0.000. This means that the probability
value is less than 0.05 (p <0.05). From these results it can be concluded that there
is a significant difference between the results of functional ability measurement
between the treatment group and the control group which means there is the effect
of the addition of Myofascial Release Technique In Short Wave Diathermy
Intervention to Myogenic Low Back Pain Functional Ability in the treatment group.
