Pengaruh Campuran Bahan Bakar Sekam Padi dengan Bonggol Jagung Terhadap Kinerja Tungku Gasifikasi Tipe Downdraft

Abstract

Gasification is a process of converting a thermochemically solid fuel into a gas, in which the required air is lower than the air used for the combustion process. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of a mixture of corncob fuel to the combustion temperature, the initial ignition time and the effective flame time in the rice husk gasification type downdraft. The study was conducted by varying the mixture of corn and rice husk mixed fruits, with a mixed variation 25% corn cob, 50% corn cob, 75% corn cob. then retrieve data including combustion temperature, initial startup time and effective flame time. The results showed that the variation of the mixture of corn cob and rice husk fruits influenced the combustion temperature, the initial ignition time and the effective flame time produced. The highest temperature occurs rice husk with the temperature reaching 605.34 ºC, as well as the fastest ignition time in just 6 minutes. The fuel mixture with the longest effective flame time was obtained with a mixture of 75% corncob and 25% rice husk for 48 minutes
