Theoretical foundations for the analysis of the content in sequential narration by means of fixed images: the comic. This paper presents a theoretical model for the analysis of the contents of comics, taking into account the duality represented by the joint use of text and images. A set of procedures is given for both cases, with emphasis on the visual analysis of the document both from an iconic and an iconographic point of view and introducing semiotic models and image theory.
