Abstract

Geni su nosioci nasljednih osobina koji kodiraju za sintezu bjelančevina. Tijekom evolucije geni se mijenjaju putem prirodne selekcije, mutacija, genetičkog drifta i protoka gena. Sebični geni definirani su tako zbog svog nastojanja da se prenesu u slijedeću generaciju i održe u zalihi gena. Mi kao jedinke predstavljamo strojeve za preživljavanje i prijenos gena. Sebični geni u nama potiču altruizam, pogotovo prema genetički bliskim jedinkama kako bi se kopije gena dulje održale u populaciji. Ljudi zbog svoje sposobnosti razmišljanja imaju sposobnost oduprijeti se sebičnosti vlastitih gena. Memi su ideje ili obrasci ponašanja pomoću kojih se prenose običaji, simboli i kulturološke ideje, a mogu evoluirati istim procesima kojima evoluiraju geni. Jedan od snažnijih mema današnjice je pojam indigo djece, a upotrebljava se za djecu za koju se vjeruje da predstavljaju viši stadij ljudske populacije, međutim, ta ideja nema uporište u znanstvenim činjenicama. During the evolution, genes change by means of natural selection, mutation, genetic drift and gene flow. Selfish genes are defined in that way because of their endeavour to transfer themselfes onto the next generation and stay in the gene pool. As organisms, we act like machines for gene survival and gene transfer. Selfish genes in us encourage altruism, especially towards genetically close individuals so their copies could be kept in the population longer. People have the ability to resist their selfish genes because of their cognitive skills. Memes are ideas or behavioral templates that act as a unit for carrying practices, symbols or cultural ideas. They can evolve in the same processes in which genes evolve. One of the strongest memes known today is the concept of indigo children, which is used to describe children who represent higher evolution stage. However, this idea doesn't have any scientific proof. Forty six & 2 is a song by the american band Tool and represents the ideas of Drunvalo Melchizedek concerning the transfer to a higher counscious state by reorganising DNA into 46 autosomes and 2 sex chromosomes
