Abstract
A new isotropic damage cohesive model for the simulation of mixed-mode delamination is presented. The model is based on consideration of the interface internal friction, naturally leading to coupled opening and shear damage mechanisms. Mixed-mode fracture energy turns out to be a direct outcome of the model and does not require the definition of an empirical law, additional to pure Mode I and II fracture energies.
