The Instrumental Case Singular of the Nouns with the Old Vocalic *-ā, *-jā-Stems in Western Polissyan dialects

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано флексійну систему орудного відмінка однини іменників давніх вокалічних *-ā, *-jā-основ у західнополіських говірках. Встановлено, що визначальним фактором існування діалектних відмінностей у зауваженій відмінковій позиції є інтенсивні процеси інноваційного характеру, зокрема граматична аналогія та дія типових для говірок фонетичних закономірностей; відзначено оригінальні локально обмежені утворення. In the article the inflectional system of instrumental case singular of the nouns with old vocalic *-ā, *-jā-stems in Western Polissyan dialects is analysed. It is indicated that the significant factor which conditions the dialectal differencies in the case position mentioned above is the intensive processes of the innovative character, particularly, the grammatical analogy and influence of phonetic regularities that are typical of the dialects; the original locally restricted constructions are pointed out
