Catering Sonokembang Semarang is the business of food service providers
that provide maximum service for fullfilling food supply needs of celebration. In
conducting its business, catering Sonokembang seeks to maximize sales results to
achieve the desired target. But the problem that arise is the realization of sales
turnover which does not match the desired target. This is because of differences in
sales turnover by type of celebration and times. So, the research was done to
analyze the differences in sales turnover by type of celebration and time.
The dependent variable in this research is sales turnover, while the
independent variables in this research is the type of celebration that have three
categories (the wedding, agencies and thanksgiving), and time have 12 categories
(Suro, Sapar, Mulud, Bakdo Mulud, Jumadil awal, Jumadil akhir, Rejeb, Ruwah,
Poso, Sawal, Selo and Besar). The population is the consumers who have made
orders in catering Sonokembang Semarang from 2006 to 2010. Sort of the data is
secondary data that were processed with SPSS version 16. While, the analyze
method is ANOVA that was used to test whether there are differences in the
turnover of sales by type of celebration and time.
From this research, obtained from the ANOVA test results that there are
differences in sales turnover by type of celebration, time, and the interaction
between the type of celebration and times. Based on the results of Post hoc tests
indicate that for the variable type of celebration, the categories that contribute
most influence on the sales turnover on the type of wedding celebration. As for
