The preoperative and follow-up times are as indicated. Scores are presented as medians; the ends of the boxes define the 25th and 75th centiles, and error bars the 10th and 90th centiles. Where indicated (asterisks), differences were statistically significant (< 0.05) compared with the preoperative situation
