The purpose of this study was to Comparison of effects of exercise
performance in different duration and intensity on sweat volume and plasma
electrolytes concentration and urine in male athletes. For this purpose fifteen
male athlete college students randomly selected to participate in the present
study and performed subjects run on a treadmill at mean 65% of maximal
oxygen uptake for 90 min and in the other trial, subjects run “as far as
possible” at mean 80% vo2max for 30 min. blood and urine samples were
obtained to assesses serum sodium and potassium concentrations and urine
before and after practices. Significant body weight loss occurred, regardless of
exercise time completed was in trial 65% vo2max. The sweat rate, regardless of
exercise intensity was significantly greater in trial 80% vo2max. In both trial,
Serum sodium and potassium concentration were maintained, despite
significant body weight loss during of exercise
