This study aims to determine the quality of laboratory and biology practicum instruction in high school Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta year 2017/2018. This research is a descriptive research. The parameters described include laboratory quality, and quality of Biology practicum guidance in Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta Senior High School. The results showed that Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta high school has Biology laboratory quality with average percentage of 77,4% (good) and in accordance with Regulation of Permendiknas no. 24. The quality of the Biology practice manual meets the standards of the Ministry of National Education Directorate of PSMA in 2008 with an average percentage of 97.3% (very good), because the LKS is arranged attractively and completely by the teachers and the printing press so as to facilitate the understanding students. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the quality of laboratory and Biology practicum instruction in High School Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta has fulfilled the National Education Standard. The quality of supporting facilities of the practicum in accordance with the standards can increase the interest and understanding of students in achieving the goals of Biology learning.
