Perbedaan Rerata Cardiothoracic Ratio (CTR) Foto Thorax Standar pada Pasien Hipertensi Usia di Bawah 60 Tahun dan di Atas 60 Tahun di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta
Background: Hypertension is a common condition in primary health care and often causes complications. Cardiothoracic Ratio (CTR) is the ratio between the transverse size of the heart and the width of the chest. Radiologically, an easy wayto determine whether the heart is enlarged or not is with the Cardiothoracic ratio(CTR).
Method: Observational analytic research used cross sectional design. Subjects of this research are hipertension patients above 60 years old and below 60 years old at
RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The sampling technique was conducted by nonprobablity sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained from patients medical record start from September 2016 to November 2016. Analysis of
this research used unpaired T test for the mean of two different populations.
Result: The mean value of CTR in group 1 (age 30-59 years old) was 54.5% and
the standar deviation was 0.061 while the mean value of CTR in group 2 (age ≥ 60
years old) was 61.2% and the standar deviation was 0.056. In statistic test, the average of two different group had P = 0,000 ( α = 0,05).
Summary: There was a significant difference of mean hipertension patient CTR
between hipertention patients above 60 years old and above 60 years old at RSUD Dr. Moewardi.
