Identifikasi Drug Related Problems (DRPs) Potensial Pada Pasien Gagal Jantung Kongestif di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Delanggu Tahun 2016

Abstract

Congestive heart failure is characterized by a reduced ability of the heart pump due to changes in the structure and function of the heart. DRPs increase the risk of mortality and morbidity in patients with congestive heart failure. The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of DRPs in drug interaction and inappropriate of drug selection categories which include ineffective drugs, effective but unsafe drugs, and inappropriate drug combinations in patients with congestive heart failure at the inpatient installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Delanggu Hospital 2016. The research was a non experimental observational study. Medical records data collection was done retrospectively by purposive sampling method based on specified inclusion criteria. The results of research data analyzed by using descriptive method. Sample analyzed to identify drug interactions using Stockley's Drug Interaction 8th Edition and drug interaction checker (www.drugs.com and www.medscape.com). Guideline ACC/AHH (2013) and Drug Information Handbook 17th to identify the category of inappropriate of drug selection. The numbers of DRPs of drug interaction categories obtained from 35 samples of patients with congestive heart failure were 35 patients (100%) with 112 cases. DRPs category of inappropriate of drug selection were 10 patients (28,57%) with ineffective drug criteria were 4 incidence (11,43%), effective but unsafe drug criteria were 3 incidence (8,57%) and inappropriate drug combination were 4 incidence (11.43%)
