Abstract
After I was able to get familiar, by doing this final seminar work, with characteristics of five protected beasts which are involved in the program for breeding of endangered species and have a habitat in Zagreb ZOO, I'll try to sum up my thoughts. By getting familiar with these animals I've realized that they are all special and they greatly contribute to our planets biological diversity. From red panda bear which is fed mostly with bamboo, over maned wolf which has a fruit named after it, all the way to snow leopard which with its light grey, black doted fur fits perfectly into the snowy environment of central Asia. We have to do more research to get to know beasts which are classified on the IUCN's Red List under a certain protection form to be able to protect them better. European Endangered Species Programme (EEP) started by EAZA has very good foundations which must be elaborated by it's members in the best possible way. Zagreb ZOO has showed, by including itself into such a program, that it is fully aware of the degree on how some species are endangered. The main problem is over aggressive human population that destroys animal natural habitats and by doing that it destroy the animals themselves. Zagreb ZOO and me, with my little contribution in a form of this seminar work, will try to do everything to make sure that these beautiful beasts keep being shining pearls of biological diversity of our planet
