Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu analizirana su područja u Istarskoj županiji koja su dio ekološke mreže Natura 2000. Natura 2000 je najveća koordinirana ekološka mreža u svijetu koja se odnosi na zemlje Europske unije te se temelji na prethodno donesenim direktivama, Direktivi o pticama i Direktivi o staništima, pa se posljedično sastoji i od velikog broja Područja značajnih za ptice (POP) i Područja značajnih za vrste i stanišne tipove (POVS). U radu je i poseban osvrt na područje Pazinštine u Istarskoj županiji kao jedno od brojnih POVS područja unutar te mreže, koje je mnogo manje površine nego tradicionalna, povijesna regija Pazinštine. Proučeno je na koji način pojedini prirodni i antropogeni faktori u geografskom prostoru utječu na ekosustave i živi svijet u Istarskoj županiji i Pazinštini te koji su glavni problemi u očuvanju tih područja. Za izradu ovog diplomskog rada korišteni su različiti materijali i metode, kao što su određene topografske i tematske karte te digitalni model reljefa. Primjenom određenih alata u ArcGis 10.1. softveru i proučavanjem literature dobiven je detaljniji pregled ekološke mreže Istarske županije, odnosno Pazinštine koja je objekt istraživanja ovog rada.In this master thesis, the areas of Istria county within the Natura 2000 ecological network were analyzed. Natura 2000 is the biggest coordinated ecological network in the world that applies to the countries of European Union and it is based on previously adopted directives, Birds Directive and Habitats Directive, so it consequently consists of a great number of Special Protection Areas (SPAs) for birds and Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) for other species and habitats. In the thesis there is a special review of the Pazinština area in Istria county as one of the many SAC areas within the network, whose size is much smaller than the size of the traditional, historical region of Pazinština. It has been studied how individual natural and anthropogenic factors in geographical space impact the ecosystems, flora and fauna in Istria county and Pazinština as well as which are the main issues in their conservation. For making of this thesis various materials and methods were used, like special topographic and thematic maps and the Digital Elevation Model (DEM). By using certain tools in ArcGis 10.1. software and literature a detailed overview of the ecological network of Istria county and Pazinština has been done, which is the research objects of this thesis
