Kosakata Bercocok Tanam Padi di Sawah dalam Bahasa Melayu Dialek Sambas: Kajian Semantik

Abstract

This study aims to describe lexical-component of Sambas Malay vocabulary in farming procession, meaning-type of Sambas Malay vocabulary in farming procession, and semantic function of Sambas Malay vocabulary in farming procession. Research method used in this study is descriptive method with qualitative form. Data source in this research is Malay Sambas native speaker and the data is Sambas Malay vocabulary in farming procession including tools and substances used in the procession. Data acquisition technique is interview using pictures. The result is as follow: there are 43 lexemes related with rice farming procession, 28 lexemes are categorized as verb, and 15 as noun; there are 36 lexical meaning, 9 grammatical meaning, and 5 colocative meaning category: activity using tools, activity without tools, wooden tools, iron tools, and wicker tools; there are 18 lexeme with process semantic function, 10 lexeme with act semantic function, and 15 lexeme with noun semantic function
