Abstract

Tenthredo fulvicornis Mocsáry, 1909, lectotype

Current placement. Tenthredo (Tenthredella) crenata (Enslin, 1912), replacement name for Tenthredo fulvicornis Mocsáry, 1909.

Tenthredo fulvicornis Mocsáry, 1909: 34–35.Primary homonym of Tenthredo fulvicornis Panzer, 1801 [= Hoplocampa fulvicornis (Panzer, 1801)] a senior objective synonym of Tenthredo (Tenthredella) crenata (Enslin, 1912).
Lectotype ♀ (designated by Taeger, 2013). Type locality: “Ussuri Kasakewitsch” [= Russia: Khabarovskiy Kray: Kazakevichevo, 48.267°N 134.767°E].
Taeger 2013, p. 215: "The status of T. crenata remains open to discussion. Zhelochovtsev (1976: 95) synonymized crenata with Tenthredo (Tenthredella) moniliata Klug, 1817. Lacourt (1999) accepted this, whereas other subsequent authors (such as Zhelochovtsev & Zinovjev, 1996) still considered crenata to be a valid species. Pending a revision of the moniliata species complex, crenata should be treated as a distinct species.
