Abstract
Tetrahydrothiophenes and -thiopyrans
have been efficiently synthesized
from thioacrylates via thia-Prins cyclization reaction mediated by
trimethylsilyltrifluoromethanesulfonate with
good diastereoselectivity and in good to high yields
