受体一配体之间的相互作用可介导细胞间通信。依据受体、配体所受约束不同,可以将其相互作用划分为两类:一是三维相互作用,即受体或配体中至少有一种为可溶性状态;二是二维相互作用,即受体与配体均锚定于某个表面(如细胞膜表面),只有当锚定表面靠近到一定距离,其相互作用才可能发生。生理环境下,这两种作用都存在,相同的受体和配体就会产生竞争作用。在炎症反应发生时,锚定于白细胞表面的L选择素会在某些因子(比如fMLP,IL-8)的刺激下发生水解,形成可溶性的L选择素,从而与未发生水解的L选择素共同竞争配体。对于受配体之间的二维,
