Erstmals wurde für die Stadtbibliothek Salzgitter eine bibliotheksinterne Informationsplattform im Intranet implementiert. Die Realisierung erfolgte mit Microsoft SharePoint 2010 in Form eines Wikis, das allen Bibliotheksmitarbeitern von jedem Arbeitsplatz in allen Zweigstellen zur Verfügung steht. Für das sogenannte StabiWiki besitzt jeder von ihnen identische Lese- und Schreibrechte, um bibliotheksrelevante Informationen sowie die Fachkenntnisse der Mitarbeiter zu bündeln und ihnen zentral zugänglich zu machen. Viele der Wiki-Inhalte wurden nun erstmals schriftlich fixiert und das StabiWiki unterstützt die Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen ihrer täglichen Arbeit. Damit wird ein Beitrag zu einem aktiven Wissensmanagement geleistet, da Wissen nicht mehr ausschließlich individuell, sondern institutionsweit vorliegt.For the first time a library-internal information platform has been implemented on the intranet of the public library of Salzgitter. This was realized in form of a wiki using Microsoft SharePoint 2010. The wiki is accessible for all library staff members from any computer at any library branch. All staff members have identical reading and writing permissions for the so-called StabiWiki to pool library-related information and the staff’s expertise and centralize access to these information. Much of the wiki content was set out in writing for the first time, and the StabiWiki supports staff in all areas in their daily work, thereby contributing to an active knowledge management, since knowledge is no longer present only individually, but institutionally
