KEJAHATAN KESUSILAAN (CYBER SEX)
The development of modern era and the advanced development of technology in 21
Century brings people to sophisticated life. Electronic communication media becomes
alternatives in realtime communication wherever place with objectives to make the life and
the man’s work easier. However, behind this rapid development of technology, new crimes
were born in form of crime through electronic media that is called cybercrime. The problems
discussed in this thesis are the application of criminal sanction upon the perpetrator of
sexual crime on electronic media; causal factors of the sexual crimes on electronic media;
and measures to be taken to prevent sexual crime on electronic media.
Writing method used in this thesis was descriptive analytical and sociology of law.
Descriptive analytical is by collecting facts and description of regulations and theories of law
related to the problems discussed that is related to sexual crime on electronic media, and
sociology of law method by direct research on the problems occurred in the society.
From the analysis done by the author, it can be concluded. First, that the application
criminal sanction on the perpetrator of sexual crime on electronic media under Article 27
verse (1) of Law No. 11, 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transaction jo. Article
45 verse (1) of Law No. 11, 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transaction.
Second, causal factors of the sexual crime on electronic media occurred as the result of
various factors, such as sexual psychological, advanced technology, legislations and law
enforcement, surrounding, and economic factors. These factors encourage some people to be
sexual crime perpetrator on electronic media. Third, measures to be taken to prevent the
sexual crime on electronic media are through various ways such as self-prevention by wisely
use the information technology, improve the quality of education, self-improvement.
