The objectives of the research entitled “An Analysis of English-Indonesian Translation Method on Line Dictionary” are to identify the translation method mostly used in Line dictionary and to analyze how the translation results of Line dictionary. The method used in the research is qualitative method. This method can solve actual problems through collecting the data, clarifying the data, analyzing the data and interpreting the data. The collected data showed that there were 78 data or text from a text film entitled “BATMAN”. The research found that the translation method mostly used were: first is literal translation (48,71%), second is word for word translation (29,48%), third is faithful translation (15,38%), last is communicative translation (6,41%). In this research found that the result of translation using Line dictionary is a poor translation because it is not relevant with the characteristic of good translation that purposed by some expert. then, the researcher make the translation become a good translation based on the theory. For further research, the researcher suggests the translator should understand the proper translation method and can be able to make a good translation.
