The role of scene play in self-actualization of preschool children

Abstract

Rad dovodi u relaciju teoriju o samoaktualizaciji Abrahama Maslowa i produkte provođenja dramskih metoda, preciznije scenske igre, u odgojnoj skupini u vrtiću. Maslow prepoznaje ključan utjecaj socio-kulturalnog okruženja na razvoj djeteta kao preduvjet za razvoj i samoaktualizaciju pojedinca. Imajući u vidu osjetljivost djetetova ranog razvoja i djetetovu težnju za aktualizacijom potrebno je rana iskustva i razvoj što više približiti vrhunskim iskustvima kako bi se osigurali preduvjeti za ostvarenje, ako ne i sama samoaktualizacija. Tradicionalna pedagogija koja prevladava u vrtićima danas, nažalost rijetko osigurava uvjete nužne za ostvarivanje viših potreba.This paper brings to relation the theory of self-actualization by Abraham Maslow and outcomes of enrolling dramic methods, scene play to be precise, in a preschool group. Maslow recognizes the key influence of socio-cultural environment on child development as a precondition for the development and self-actualization of the individual. Having in mind the sensitivity of child's early development and his aspiration for actualization it is necessary to bring closer early experiences and development as much as possible, in order to enable preconditions for reaching, if not self-actualization itself. Traditional pedagogy that prevails in preschools today, unfortunately rarely ensures the conditions necessary for reaching higher needs
