У статті розглянуто концептуальні засади створення підручників математики нового покоління для 5-6 класів. Проаналізовано змістове наповнення підручників з урахуванням науково-методичних вимог Державного стандарту. Розглянуто питання науковості і доступності викладу. Особливу увагу приділено пріоритету розвивальної функції навчання. Виокремлено етапи диференційованої реалізованості: формування стійкої мотивації до вивчення предмета та ключових і предметних математичних компетентностей. У статті виділено методологічні засади побудови сучасних підручників математики через реалізацію особистісно орієнтованого, компетентнісного, діяльнісного підходів до навчання математики. Комплект підручників сприяє вихованню в учнів уважності, спостережливості, зацікавленості, відповідальності, акуратності, точності, становленню позитивної Я-концепції, відчуванню ситуацій успіху тощо.Conceptual basics of compiling the manuals in mathematics of the new generation for 5th - 6th forms are considered in the article. A content filling of the manuals according to scientific and methodical requirements of the State standard is analyzed. The issues of simplicity and scientific nature of the presentation are considered. Special attention is given to the priority of training developmental function. The stages of differentiated realization are pointed out: formation of the firm motivation for studying the subject and key, as well as subject mathematical competences. Methodological bases of compiling up to date manuals in mathematics through realization of personally oriented, competence-based, activity-based approaches to mathematics studying are defined in the article. A set of manuals makes for cultivating pupils’ attention, observation, interest, responsibility, neatness, precision, positive self-concept formation, success sensing situations, etc
