Abstract

This thesis discusses the synergy of local government, police and military in handling forest and land fire in Mempawah District of West Kalimantan Province in connection with the West Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No. 6 of 1998 on Forest Fire Prevention and Response. From the result of this thesis research, it can be concluded that the implementation of Forest and Land Fire Prevention by the Regional Government of Polri and TNI in Mempawah District of West Kalimantan Province in relation to West Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No. 6 of 1998 on Forest Fire Prevention and Response. The Implementation of Fire and Forest Fire Control by the Regional Government of Police and TNI In Mempawah District of West Kalimantan Province in relation to West Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No. 6 of 1998 on Forest Fire Prevention and Response. Governor of West Kalimantan through letter number 522/0289 / Ekon.B dated January 25, 2017 concerning Forest and Land Cutting Fire in 2017 has instructed the Bupati / Mayor to prevent and control forest and land fires in their respective areas, Emergency Standby, establishing Emergency Standby Post, Operation of Emergency Standby Post and Fire Control Team by involving elements of TNI / POLRI, SKPD related to District and District level, Manggala Agni, business actor, and Fire Concerned People. A total of 30 people consisting of elements of the TNI / Polri and work units of regional apparatus were involved in the preparation of contingency disaster management plans in Mempawah District. The compilation of contingency plans is undertaken to calculate the level of preparation and preparedness of personnel, logistics, equipment and cost estimates required in response to disasters. This strategic effort is expected to open insight and increase knowledge to deal with disaster-related issues
