Aninvestigation by means of the method of laser polarimetry of thethyroid, suprarenal and prostate tissue demonstrated the polarizationproperties of the glands of intact rats in health.Key words: thyroid gland, suprarenalgland, prostate gland, laserpolarimetry.IntroductionFor the last decade topicality of the use of laserpolarimetry method has grown to determineproperties of  BT as exactly they allow to find out thespatially updiffused properties of an object, definethe presence of dissipation areas distribution and getlocal high-frequency information. Interesting arepossibilities of the use of laser polarimetry methodsto determine the properties of glandular tissue,namely tissues of the thyroid and suprarenal glands.In the process of development of diagnostic methods,it has been found that the peculiarity of biologicaltissue structure is a double-base amorphouslycrystalline structure[1]. The use of lasers inbiomedical optics stipulated the development of anumber of researches – laser polarimetry of thebiological tissues, which is based on the statisticalanalysis of polarizing-inhomogeneous objectivefields [3,7]. Radiation field dispersed by biologicaltissue, becomes the carrier of  information abouttheir properties. This information is found to becontained in photometric, spectral, polarization andcorrelation characteristics of light vibrations [5].However,the questions of the use of laserpolarimetry methods remain little studied to examinethe  properties of glandular  tissue, such as someendocrine glands which is topical for differentialdiagnostics of their pathological processes [6].Objectives of the researchTo study polarizing properties of optically thinsections of the thyroid and suprarenal glands tissuesof intact rats.Materials and methodsResearches were conducted on 20 white maturerats-males with initial body weight 100-150grammes. For the study of structural organization ofBÒ thyroid, suprarenal and prostate glands they weredeleted and fixed in a 10% solution of neutralformalin with the triple change of fixing, dehydratedin the alcohols of growing concentration, whereuponinundated in paraffin blocks. Microsections of 5-6ìêì thickness were made and studied in a lightopticmicroscope BIOLAMAS of Ð-12. For research ofpolarization properties and estimation of diagnosticpossibilities of statistical analysis of fabrics imagesof glands achroos microsections (20 preparations) ofphysiologically normal glands of intact animals,which were made by means of cryostat wereinvestigated. Polarization images of the thyroid,adrenal and prostate tissues were received bymicroobjective lens, projected in the plane ofphotosensitive ground (800x600 pixel) of CCD-camera, which provided the range of measuringstructural elements of the biological tissues for suchsizes: 2-2000 mkm. Examination of polarizationimages of gland tissues are presented by an opticalchart (fig. 1). Illumination was conducted by theparallel (∅ = 104 ìkm) bunch of He-Ne laser (λ=0.6328 ìkm, W = 5.0 ìÂò). Polarization illuminatorconsists of quater wave plates 3; 5 and polarizer 4,that provides forming of laser bunch with anarbitrary azimuth 00<α0<1800 or ellipticity 00<β0<900of polarization.Results of the research and discussionPolarization images are presented on (fig. 2)optically thin microsections of the thyroid glands inhealth (coefficient of weakening, τ≤0,1 geometricalthickness 40 λm) for axial (0–0) and crossed (0–90)polyarizer 4 and analyzer 9.33Îðèã³íàëüí³ äîñë³äæåííÿThe statistical moments of the first M, second σ,third A and fourth E orders of their values, whichwere calculated by finding an average on every pixelof recording CCD – camera were used as a basicanalytical instrument to evaluate aggregation ofcasual values characterizing the image of a biologicalobject (intensities) and its optical geometricalstructure (directions of orientations of protein fibrilsñ and index of double refraction of their matter ∆n).Polarization images are presented on (fig. 3, 4, 5,6) of optically thin microsections of the cortical andmedullar tissues of the adrenal gland in health(coefficient of weakening, geometrical thickness 40λm) got for axial (0 – 0) and crossed (0 – 90)polyarizer 4 and analyzer 9.Images of optically-thin (a coefficient ofweakening is τ ≤ 0.1, is a geometrical thickness 40)microsections of fabric is the prostate tissue got foraxial (0-0) and crossed (0-90) polyarizer 4 andanalyzer 9 are presented in fig. 7.The findings obtained demonstrate the tendencyof growth of statistical moments values of distri-buting orientations of the endocrine organs.
