 XV Congreso Traducción, Texto e Interferencias:  La práctica de la traducción jurídica, literaturas traducidas y otras variedades traductológicas [15th Conference on Translation, Texts and Interference: Legal translation, translated literature and other translation practices] Ciudad Real, Spain, 4-6th July 2018  Soledad Díaz Alarcón University of Cordoba  Received: 23/11/2018 Accepted: 27/12/2018       The Congreso Internacional de Traducción, Texto e Interferencias is an outstanding annual meeting focused on Translation Studies which dates back to 2002. Due to its international nature, this meeting has been held in many European destinations throughout its history and has always been organized in close collaboration with foreign universities (Brussels, Krakow or Augsburg) and national universities (Malaga, Jaén, Cáceres, Santander, and Seville, among others).  In particular, the fifteenth edition was celebrated during the 4-6th of July 2018 in Ciudad Real, with the participation of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). The 2018 call was focused on legal translation and translated literature, hence the subtitle The practice of legal translation, translated literature and other translation practices. However, this multidisciplinary meeting was open to several works related to different fields, such as audiovisual translation, lexicology and lexicography, didactics, and translation history. With regard to its conformation, this 15th edition included nine thematic panels, in which 71 speakers presented their works and studies on areas of knowledge as varied as humanistic and literary translation, legal and economic translation, audiovisual translation, terminology, lexicology and lexicography, Transletters. Moreover, four plenary sessions were established as the pillars of the meeting: the master lectures given by prestigious specialists such as Dr. Luis Arroyo Zapatero (founder and current manager of the Institute of European and International Criminal Law), who set the bridge between the School of Toledo and the EU Law in Brussels. The second speaker, Professor Gerd Wotjak (Professor of Spanish and expert in Romance Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Leipzig) gave a profuse and rigorous presentation on translation as an interlinguistic, cross-cultural and mediated form of communication.  Dr. Jesús Tronch Pérez (expert in English and Anglo-American philology at the University of Valencia) presented the results of the analysis of translations carried out within the framework of a research project on the translation of European stage plays from the 16th and 17th centuries.  The last lecture, which closed the second day of the conference, was led by Dr. Pedro Ruiz Pérez, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Córdoba, who highlighted the parallelisms between related disciplines such as translation and text editing, focusing on common aspects and shared problems. The synoptic nature of this review forces us to synthesise the description of the many works presented. Nevertheless, it is worth highlighting their high level of specialization, as well as their multidisciplinary and pragmatic approach. These studies allowed an extensive overview of subjects including, to mention some of them: legal terminology, corpus linguistics, cultural elements and humour in audiovisual texts, CAT tools, methodological approaches, multilingual speeches, translation and proofreading of literary translations from or to English, Spanish, French or Chinese.  The internationalization of the event was also reflected by the variety of languages spoken –Spanish, English and French–, as well as by the number of participants coming not only from Spain, but from foreign universities in Brazil, United States, Germany, Tunisia, Mexico, Taiwan, Portugal , Albania, Chile, Italy and Argentina. As a final touch to this intense meeting, the committee offered a pleasant guided tour around the city, permitting the participants to contemplate the rich patrimonial heritage of a city that welcomed them and had many things to offer.    232
