Data on the intelligibility of deaf speech presented in the literature differ considerably from paper to paper. The aim of the present research was to determine the intelligibility levels for speech signal produced by Polish profoundly-deaf children and to compare the obtained results with the available data as well as finding out whether the method of speech sample elicitation applied has a statistically significant influence on the results achieved in this area
