KONSEPSI TASAWUF DALAM BEBERAPA KARYA RADEN NGABEHI RANGGA WARSITA

Abstract

This research study aims to describe the tasawuf concept as a formal object in some of R. Ng. Ranggawarsita's works. The study was on R. Ng. Ranggawarsita's works that are dominantly colored by the kejawenand tasawufelements (Islam and Java enculturation). They were Semt Salokajiwa, Semt Wirid Hidayat Iati, Wirid Maklumat Iati, Semt Kalatidha, Serat Pmnawa Iati, and Semt Sabda Iati. The data about tasawuf teachings were recorded in the data cards and sorted on the basis of particular groups of tasawuf concepts. The data were then qualitatively analyzed. The research findings show that R. Ng. Ranggawarsita's works contain some tasawuf concepts, such as (1) the concept of human being, (2) the concept of God, (3) the concept of liberation way, and (4) the concept of liberation. The tasawuf concepts appearing in the works show that R. Ng. Ranggawarsita was influenced by tasawuf teachings that had developed prosperously in Java
