Abstract
Em especial nos anos de intervenção da troïka em Portugal, as políticas de austeridade colocaram sob pressão organizações sindicais (confrontadas com tendências de individualização das relações laborais e com a necessidade de salvaguardar direitos adquiridos), bem como outros atores sociolaborais (predispostos a denunciar distintas modalidades de precarização no trabalho e na vida). Mas se o trabalho e a precariedade preencheram os discursos de umas e de outras organizações, o pragmatismo das respostas revelou-se temerário na construção de alianças entre ambas. Como corolário disso, assinalam-se dois desafios à construção de um “sindicalismo de precários”, colocando em evidência – sob a forma de construção institucional e de mobilização social – as tensões e potencialidades que lhe são inerentes.Especially in the years of the troika’s intervention in Portugal, austerity policies have put pressure on union organizations (faced with tendencies to individualize labour relations and the need to safeguard vested rights), as well as other socio-labour actors (predisposed to denounce different modalities of precariousness in work and life). But if work and precariousness flled the discourses of one or another organization, the pragmatism of the answers proved foolhardy in building alliances between the two. As a corollary of this, two challenges are highlighted in the construction of a “trade-unionism of the precarious”, highlighting – in the form of institutional construction and social mobilization – the tensions and possibilities inherent in it
