Los ecosistemas del pacífico colombiano se han visto afectados por la deforestación y minería ilegal, resultando en la pérdida de biodiversidad de flora y fauna. Cerca de 118 especies de aves de bosques húmedos de los Andes y la Costa Pacífica se encuentran en riesgo de extinción. Ellas juegan un papel un papel fundamental en el ecosistema ya que cumplen funciones como la distribución de semillas. Surge la necesidad de educar y generar conciencia ambiental para recalcar la importancia de los ecosistemas y las aves. Este proyecto busca exponer la problemática que viven las aves y promover el cuidado de los ecosistemas del Pacífico. Esto se hará mediante exposiciones, clases didácticas sobre la avifauna e interacción con el entorno en el municipio de Quibdó. Además, generará un impacto social y económico en la región al impulsar el ecoturismo. Las 2.74 hectáreas del proyecto constan de zonas de aves protegidas, escenarios, senderos, lago y zonas verdes que servirán como hábitat para las aves y espacio de recreación para los visitantes. El edificio principal contará con un aula interactiva, sala de exposiciones, laboratorios de investigación equipados con tecnologías y una zona verde en la cubierta que sirva como mirador. El diseño de estos espacios sigue la topografía, los estudios de suelos, hidrológicos y de transporte para dar con el diseño de cimentaciones, la estructura, vías y pavimentos. Con el estudio ambiental se obtuvo planes para mitigar los efectos de urbanización y construcción de la obra debido a la tala de árboles. Además, debido a la ausencia de redes hidrosanitarias, se optó por estanques de captación de agua lluvia como suministro de agua potable y una PTAR para el tratamiento de aguas residuales. Con la realización de este proyecto, se aplicaron todos los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo de nuestra carrera de Ingeniería Civil y se utilizaron para dar con una solución de la problemática que es la pérdida de biodiversidad.The ecosystems of the Colombian Pacific have been affected by deforestation and illegal mining, resulting in loss of biodiversity of flora and fauna. These play a fundamental role in the ecosystem since they fulfill functions such as the distribution of seeds. Therefore, there is a need to educate and generate environmental awareness to emphasize the importance of ecosystems and birds. This project seeks to expose the problems that birds live and promote the care of the ecosystems of the Pacific. This will be done through exhibitions, educational classes on birdlife and interaction with the environment in the city of Quibdó. In addition, it will generate a social and economic impact in the region by promoting ecotourism. The 2.74 hectares of the project consist of protected bird areas, stages, trails, lake and green areas that will serve as habitat for birds and recreation space for visitors. The main building will have an interactive room, an exhibition hall, research laboratories equipped with technologies and a green area on the roof that will serve as a lookout point. The design of these spaces follows the topography, soil, hydrological and transport studies to find the design of foundations, the structure, roads and pavements. With the environmental study, plans were obtained to mitigate the effects of urbanization and construction of the work due to the felling of trees. In addition, due to the absence of hydrosanitary networks, rainwater catchment ponds were chosen as a drinking water supply and a WWTP for wastewater treatment. With the completion of this project, all the knowledge acquired throughout our Civil Engineering career was applied and was used to find a solution to the problem that is the loss of biodiversity
