Abstract
Annual catches of fish in Lake Victoria, Kenya from 1976-1998 are assessed, catches from 5-15 boats selected randomly from targeted landing sites were recorded. Twenty three of the 256 Kenyan landing sites were covered by the survey. Selection of landing sites was not random but rather influenced by the presence of infrastructure and accomodation.
