i Purpose : Conduct Department Diving R e c e r t i f i c a t i o n  Seminar.

1 Operations: Seventeen Department employees were r e t e s t e d  on t h e i r  
I swinuning and scuba d iv ing  a b i l i t y  by t h e  Diving Sa fe ty  Board. One new employee was t e s t e d  f o r  temporary c e r t i -  
1 f i c a t i o n .  Each d i v e r  spent  approximately f i v e  hours  i n  
i t h e  water .  
Resu l t s  : Fourteen d i v e r s  were r e c e r t i f i e d .  One new d i v e r  r e -  
ceived temporary c e r t i f i c a t i o n  t o  40 f e e t .  Three d i v e r s  
were placed on probat ion  due t o  poor phys i ca l  cond i t i on .  
The f i n a l  deep d iv ing  problem of recover ing  a sunken out-  
board boa t  w a s  succes s fu l ly  completed.
