Risks of Concessions for Business: Case Study on the Operation of Sports Facilities

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of the study is to assess the business risks in the operation of sports facilities owned by the municipality in terms of concession agreements. The study was carried out on the example of Kazan city (Russia), where during the preparation for the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 a large number of sports facilities were built by means of public funds. The answers were collected from 38 experts selected among the potential concessionaires. Basing on the obtained data the integral indicators of significance for each type of risk were calculated
