Abstract
El olvido del mar en el sector del transporte marítimo colombiano; es una
reflexión sobre los principales planteamientos y teorías relacionadas con el tema,
haciendo énfasis en la importancia que sigue teniendo el mar como fuente de
recursos para el ser humano; pero que en la actualidad se le ha dado la espalda,
lo cual se ve reflejado a través del olvido en términos de inversión pública en
infraestructura para el sector marítimo colombiano, a pesar de que este sector
tenga a su cargo más del 90% del comercio internacional del país. A través del
presente estudio, se logra evidenciar mayor inversión en sectores como el fluvial y
el ferroviario los cuales no representan ningún peso para el comercio, mientras la
infraestructura para el sector marítimo, continúa teniendo una reducción
significativa presupuestal, limitando de esta manera su propia competitividad
Internacional. Esta reflexión surge debido a que desde la época de la colonización,
el mar ha sido objeto de prejuicios los cuales hoy en día están presentes en la
base de la cultura colombiana, llevando a un olvido inminente este recurso de
competitividad, que otro tipo de Estados-Nación, sí han sabido aprovechar.The sea oblivion in the Colombian maritime transport sector; it is a reflection
about the main approaches and theories related to this topic, emphasizing the
importance of the sea as resource for humans, which unfortunately has been
forgotten through its invisibility in terms of infrastructure public investment for the
Colombian maritime transport sector, even though this sector is responsible for
over 90% of the country's international trade. Through this study, it is possible to
demonstrate greater investment in sectors such as river and rail, which currently
are not important for international trade while the infrastructure for maritime sector
continues to have a significant budget reduction, limiting its own International
competitiveness. This reflection arises because since the time of colonization, the
Sea has been subject of prejudice which today is still present at the base of the
Colombian culture, leading to an imminent oblivion of this competitive resource,
which other states have taken advantage of
