This purpose is the consideration of apocalypse in the New Testament which will demonstrate the contrast between the Fourth Gospel and the earlier traditions--the Synoptic Gospels and the Book of Revelation. These documents were written over a period of about thirty to thirty-five years, and they represent the thinking of the Christian community in the latter half of the first century
