Curs acadèmic: 2016/2017The current work is organized in three parts. First, it is explained, in a synthetic way, the theory about philosophical movement of existentialism and Franz Kafka’s biography and his literary work, considering that he was one of the ground-breaking writers of twentieth-century literature. Straightaway, a status of the issue is established and it is based on four key concepts: interdisciplinarity, significant teaching and learning in the classroom, intertextuality and écfrasis. Finally, this work presents our teaching unit and its results regarding the methodology and the proposed contents: the existentialism in the arts and in Franz Kafka.El presente trabajo está organizado en tres partes. En primer lugar, se expone, en forma de síntesis, la teoría sobre el movimiento filosófico existencialista y la biografía y obra de Franz Kafka, uno de los autores pioneros de la literatura del siglo XX. Seguidamente, se establece el estado de la cuestión sobre la educación española partiendo de cuatro conceptos claves: la interdisciplinariedad, la enseñanza y el aprendizaje significativo en el aula, la intertextualidad y la écfrasis. Finalmente, se presenta la unidad didáctica implementada en el aula y sus resultados, respecto a la metodología y a los contenidos propuestos: el existencialismo en las artes y en Franz Kafka
