Factors which Influence the Interregional Migration in the Czech Republic

Abstract

Přestože migrace je výsledkem rozhodnutí člověka, působí na něj celá řada jevů ekonomických, sociálních i kulturních, které přímo či nepřímo konečné rozhodnutí ovlivní. V historii zkoumání migrace lze vysledovat mnoho modelů, které se snaží zachytit a popsat podněty, které lidi k migraci vedou. Článek vychází především z neoklasické teorie migrace. Ta předpokládá, že hlavním faktorem působícím na rozhodnutí člověka o migraci je mzda. Cílem tohoto článku je potvrdit či vyvrátit hypotézu, zda meziregionální migrace v České republice je ovlivněna výší mzdy v regionu. Součástí článku je určení velikosti vlivu tohoto faktoru a stanovení dalších faktorů, které proces migrace v České republice ovlivňují.Although the migration is the result of human decisions, it is influenced by a lot of phenomena from economic, social and cultural area. They can have directly or indirectly effects on the final decision. We can find many models in the history that try to capture and describe the incentives to migrate. The article is mainly based on the neoclassical theory of migration. It is assumed that the wage is the main factor which influences the decision to migrate. The aim of this paper is to prove or disprove the hypothesis that interregional migration in the Czech Republic is affected by the level of wages in the region. In the article, the determination of the influence of this factor and other factors determine which process migration in the Czech Republic interact. The article deals with interregional migration in the Czech Republic and examines the hypothesis that interregional migration is influenced by the level of wages in the region. In the article there is quantified the influence of this factor and there are determined other factors which can have influence on this process
