Maternidad vs. paternidad

Abstract

Maternidad y paternidad no son conceptos iguales, como pudiera creerse, ni tan sólo equivalentes. Al contrario. Comparativamente hablando, y escribiendo, uno es inferior y el segundo superior. La distancia que media entre ambos es la clave de bóveda del orden patriarcal, al que están sometidas todas las sociedades de la tierra, de Norte a Sur y de Este a Oeste del planeta. La paternidad, una vez comprobada la importancia real de la maternidad, se alzó contra ella para dominarla, controlarla y reducirla al estado de naturaleza pura -¡cómo si esto fuera posible en los seres humanos!- y con este pretexto no permitir que se expandiera en lo social, cultural, económico y político. La paternidad en cambio sí se expandió, y de qué manera, pero en forma de patriarcado, como no podía ser de otra manera, dado el golpe de fuerza con que se había hecho con el poder.Materniy y paternity are not equal concepts, as we could think, not even equivalent.
