Analyzes the problem of extension the authority of res judicata when the plurality of legitimate objection to a single act and the action has your begning only for one legitimized. Presents general considerations on the res judicata and then outlines the evolution of the doctrine concerning the system of limitation of subjective res judicata. Immediately thereafter discourse of treatment dispensed for the paternal legislative about subjective limitation of res judicata in the jurisdiction both in individual and collective in the jurisdiction, when defending the existence of exceptional circumstances where the general rule limiting the subjective res judicata to the parties shall follow the procedure common CPC, is mitigated. Presents the critical point when the work discusses the various doctrinal positions on the issue of subjective limits of res judicata in actions where there is plurality of the legitimate objection to a single act. Examine, critically, each doctrinal position, from the standpoint of constitutional guarantees and the process of legislation, during which supports the formation of the unit necessary joinder of parties, adopting the method of edictal citation using criteria similar to the systems of the opt -in and opt-out, which legitimized to ensure the possibility of joining any of the centers of demand (and even the possibility of not joining in the demand).Analisa o problema da extensão da autoridade da coisa julgada quando há pluralidade de legitimados à impugnação de um único ato e a ação é aforada somente por um dos legitimados. Apresenta considerações gerais sobre a coisa julgada e, em seguida, traça o perfil evolutivo da doutrina no tocante ao regime de limitação subjetiva da coisa julgada. Ato contínuo disserta sobre o tratamento legislativo pátrio dispensado à limitação subjetiva da coisa julgada tanto na jurisdição individual, quanto na jurisdição coletiva, momento que defende a existência de situações excepcionais em que a regra geral de limitação subjetiva da coisa julgada às partes, regida pelo procedimento comum do CPC, é mitigada. Apresenta o ponto nevrálgico do trabalho quando discorre sobre as diversas posições doutrinárias diante da problemática dos limites subjetivos da coisa julgada nas ações em que há pluralidade de legitimados à impugnação de um único ato. Analisa, criticamente, cada posicionamento doutrinário, sob o enfoque das garantias constitucionais do processo e da legislação vigente, oportunidade em que defende a formação do litisconsórcio necessário unitário, com adoção da modalidade de citação por edital a partir de critérios semelhantes ao dos sistemas do opt-in e do opt-out, em que se assegure aos legitimados a possibilidade de ingressar em qualquer um dos pólos da demanda (e até mesmo, a possibilidade de não ingressar na demanda)
