Indonesia is an archipelago country which is geographically located in 6o N – 11o S and 95 o – 141o E. Indonesia have a much of sea, determination of mean sea level as a surface closed to geoid was difficult.Determination of geoid model could be derived from satellite data, surface gravity, and digital elevation model. Development of satellite gravity has a significant impact in determining gravity field of the earth. One of the most commonly satellite gravity is GOCE (Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer) satellite, was launched in march 2009 by ESA (European Space Agency).Geoid modelling in this research used GOCE satellite data as long wavelength geoid. The data which was used is GOCE level 2 data. GOCE geoid models which were used are DIR R2 , R3 DIR , TIM R2 and TIM R3 with the acquisition data in 2010 and 1011. The results of GOCE geoid models are subtracted with EGM 96 and EIGEN 5C models. Validation of geoid model was refer to Java local geoid model. The results showed that the model DIR R2 has the lowest differences of standard deviation due to EGM96 model is about 0.583 meter as well as EIGEN 5C is about 0.186 meter. Geoid model which has small grid and low degree and order had low standard deviation. The Results of the comparison between the GOCE geoid model showed that the model TIM R2 and TIM R3 has the lowest standard deviation is about 0.014 meter. The result of validation due to Java local geoid model is about 0.328 meter. With the regional geoid of Indonesia using GOCE satellite data, determination of geoid height in each local area is easier
