Pengaruh Terapi Oksigenasi Nasal Prong Terhadap Perubahan Saturasi Oksigen Pasien Cedera Kepala Di Instalasi Gawat Darurat Rsup Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado

Abstract

Abstrack: One of the emergency management at the head injury is the provision of oxygenation therapy such as by using nasal prongs to maintain the stability of oxygenation in the tissues of the body and brain. Adequate oxygenation to the tissues of the body can be seen with the results of measurements of oxygen saturation. Oxygen saturation is the percentage of oxygen which has been joined by a molecule of hemoglobin (Hb). The purpose of this study to determine the effect of oxygenation nasal prongs to changes in oxygen saturation head injury patients in the RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. The research design is quasi-experimental design with time series. A sampling technique that consecutive sampling by the number of 16 samples. The results using paired t test SaO2 before and after the first 10 minutes, the first 10 minutes and 10 minutes both got value p-value = 0.000 <α 0.05. The results of the second test between 10 minutes and 10 third-obtained p-value = 0.005 <α 0,05 and repeated ANOVA test. Conclusion The results of this study indicate there are significant oxygenation therapy nasal prongs to changes in oxygen saturation head injury patients in the RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Suggestions are expected as a health worker to attend to the emergency oxygen as the initial action on head injury patients to avoid hypoxia
