Preeclampsia-Eclampsia (PE-E) is one of the major obstetric problems in Indonesia. The main etiology is unknown so that the treatment is still a problem. The objective of this research is to r eport the incidence of PE-E and the characteristics of the women with PE-E in Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. The research method is descriptive, analytical, and retrospective. The samples were taken from some medical record data. The incidence of PE was evident in 2006 (6%), in 2007 (5.67%), and in 2008 (5.08%). On the other hand, the incidence of E found in 2006 was 0.86%, in 2007 0.82%, and in 2008 0.69%. PE was most frequently found in pregnant women aged 25-29 years old (33.6%), whereas E in 20-24 years old pregnant women (32.69%). The women had the following risk factors: nullipara (49.2%; 42.3%), not having antenatal examinations (37.7%; 40.38%), hypertension, proteinuria: +1 for PE (70.5%) and +2 for E (42.31%), obtaining edema: +1 for PE (70.5%) and + 2 for E (42.31%). Infant state for PE was largely good (63.11%) and for E was asfixia moderate (32.7%). In conclusion, from 2006 to 2008, the incidence of PE-E in Immanuel Hospital, Bandung was declining. Although there were significant differences between the characteristics of PE and E in terms of proteinuria, edema, and the state of the infants, their characteristics had no significant difference in terms of age, parity, education, and ante -natal examination.
